Built in the very popular Burning Tree Village neighborhood, this shingle-style house is set atop a hill on a beautiful large lot, located on a cul-de-sac. We worked with a couple who wanted a large but private property for their two small children, and before the house was completed, they found out a third was on the way! This home really was perfect for this young and growing family. The private living and large lot allowed for a sprawling first floor plan, including an expansive front porch, two attached garages, and a screened porch and patio in the rear. Inside, the home includes both his and hers private work spaces, as well as entertainment-focused features including a wine display closet off of the Dining Room, bi-fold patio doors opening up the Breakfast Room to the screened porch, and a large golf simulation room in the lower level complete with putting greens and seating space for onlookers. The rear pool was oriented so as to not impede on the large flat rear yard, while also affording a beautiful vista from the Family/Great Room. We loved working with this family to create the family home they envisioned.
Burning Tree Village
Burning Tree Village is an area bounded by Wilson Lane, River Road, Burning Tree Road and Whittier Boulevard. The homes are made up of larger lots than some of the nearby neighborhoods, and has approximately 1500 residents. Beech Tree Park is a neighborhood gem with local wildlife, and Burning Tree Elementary School is a nationally-recognized blue ribbon school that serves the area. People enjoy living in Burning Tree Village because the properties let you enjoy the amenities of suburban living such as pools and tennis courts on the lots, but is close to DC and downtown Bethesda for shopping or restaurant trips.
