We Build Homes for Real People!
While this home was not built for a specific homeowner, it is one of three homes that we built for an investment group who owned the property. Two are sold, and this one at 3010 University Terrace, NW is currently under contract. This painted brick colonial with transitional elements and style was designed by GTM Architects and boasts almost 8,000 finished square feet on four levels. The home is ideal for full scale entertaining as well as comfortable living. Some of the features of the home are a gourmet kitchen with adjoining coffered-ceiling great room, formal gathering and dining rooms, elevator that services all four levels, six bedrooms, six full and two half baths, stunning half acre lot that has landscaping that includes a columned flagstone loggia off the main level. Serene and tranquil, Kent lies on D.C.’s northwestern edge where city meets country, and urban scenes give way to meandering trails and heavily canopied parks. The history of Kent dates back to the Civil War when that section of the District housed Union troops. Many of the original homes were developed in the 1930’s and 40’s, stately homes on large lots. More recent development has been on the eastern side of the neighborhood. It’s a largely upscale neighborhood that is bordered by Battery Kemble Park, MacArthur Boulevard, and Loughboro Road. With its plentiful parks and trails, Kent is a favorite for nature lovers, hikers and dog walkers. And it’s a quick drive to downtown DC, or the suburbs of Maryland and Virginia. And it’s an easy walk to the restaurants and shops along MacArthur Boulevard.
