Bold colors are a great way to add “pop” to a clean white background. So if your room has white walls and trim, you might consider bold accents with furniture, carpet, artwork, or even a painted accent wall. What better way to brighten up a room then to bring in some color that isn’t overwhelming. An accent of bold color can be used to emphasize one particular piece of furniture or wall in the space, or it can be a statement of boldness that brings in many vivid colors. The challenge is making sure that your bold accent color connects to the room and house décor overall, and also to make sure that your boldness isn’t an overwhelming design element. So go bold, but be sure to temper that color accent so it doesn’t pop too much and detract from the design and flow of the room.
